Biography
From Pleasant Grove to the Trustee table.
Diana grew up in a working-class Dallas household where opportunity was earned, not inherited. Her parents, small business owners and tireless advocates for their neighborhood, instilled in her the belief that public institutions, when done right, are the most reliable ladder a community has.
That belief shaped her career. After becoming the first in her family to graduate college, Diana worked across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors to build coalitions that aligned classroom learning with the realities of the regional economy.
On the Board of Trustees, she has been a steady, prepared, and unflinching voice for students, particularly the first-generation, bilingual, and working learners who are too often an afterthought in higher-education policy.
